Job Description
The purpose of this role is to deliver project management and advisory services for internal and external clients across a diverse range of projects. You will lead the management and oversight of all aspects of a project’s delivery. From project award, you will manage the project through design, construction, and up to energization. This role is primarily on-site with one day work-from-home privileges, requiring the candidate to work in the office four days a week, with occasional travel to the Vaughan location.
ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients as the day-to-day Project Manager on various projectsSet project and design budgets, report costs, and negotiate agreements with management, sub-contractors, and clients to achieve financial targetsManage and control all aspects of projects to achieve the client's goals, including managing schedule, budget, and quality objectivesCommunicate with clients, project team members, and external authorities regarding projectsContribute to resource management, including forecasting resource levels to balance needs for milestone deliverablesManage stakeholder relationships and record keeping of communicationsSupport business development activities, including developing client relationships and preparing proposalsSupport the development of new service offeringsPerform other duties as assignedEssential Skills2-4 years of project management experience taking projects from conception to completionMust have experience in construction or engineering (Telecom, Utilities, Renewable Energy)Stakeholder communication and management experience (municipalities, utilities, public offices, clients, contractors)Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and problem resolutionAbility to communicate and build rapport with approval agenciesExperience working with Ontario Utilities at a distribution level, construction management, and engineeringAdditional Skills & QualificationsPMP Certification is preferredUnderstanding of distribution and design processes in utility projectsAbility to coordinate and resolve conflicts with existing utilitiesKnowledge of managing wet and dry utilitiesUnderstanding the importance of streetlighting and trenching in urban planningAbility to identify and clear utility conflictsWork Environment
This is an on-site role with flexible hours between 8-5, with core hours from 9:30 to 3. Candidates must be consistent with their schedule and available to meet clients on-site or at their offices as needed. The work involves receiving work files, building estimates and proposals, and attending meetings with clients.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $63.00/hr.
