Tracks and reports project progress from submittal stage to product installation. Provides project tracking via the Company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. - Reviews bid documents to determine scope of work and required precast concrete products. Generates a complete and accurate bidder’s list by reviewing project sign-in sheets, plan room sources, and industry contacts. Ensures drawings, plans, specifications, and any data are accurate prior to cost estimating through customer communication and engineering. Calculates and prepares material and work item quantities based on project requirements. - Prepares and distributes accurate and complete proposals utilizing the CRM/CPQ system. Presents proposals in an effective, clear, and professional manner with the customer’s requirements in mind. Strives to meet or exceed customer response expectations. Bids are accompanied by any additional product or precast information such as; product drawings, specifications, brochures, etc., when available. - Prepares sales report for weekly distribution to the branch. - Communicates with outside sales teams, customers, and engineering department to ensure that the mutually agreed upon contract clearly specifies terms and conditions and all products requested clearly specify requirements per drawings, and plans to ensure the estimates are accurate for each particular project and per deadline. - Communicates directly with customers on date product can be manufactured and ready for delivery, changes to orders, add ons, and any other issues that may arise during manufacturing process. Coordinates with customer and dispatch to ensure delivery date is scheduled per customer needs and product is ready to be delivered as requested. - Communicates with outside sales teams, production, delivery, and yard departments to determine proper process flow to ultimately manufacture quality products and on time deliveries. Obtains project site specifications and safety standards to communicate with dispatch for off loading products, and understanding hazards for crane operators. - Manages the work order process to provide accurate work orders and drawings for production. - Participates in entertainment functions with customers and trade shows. - Participates in seminars and classes as offered to improve product knowledge and/or personal skills. **Qualifications** **POSITION REQUIREMENTS** The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated history of excellence in estimation and project management in an industrial environment, manufacturing preferred. Other desired qualifications include: - Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction, or 2+ years of experience in construction management – Preferred. - Basic understanding of dispatch and logistics function. - Experience in strategic planning and business development. - Proficient in database administration and computer programs related to sales and customer service. - Proficient with Microsoft Office (Email, Spreadsheet, Word Processor). - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Strong customer service skills (effective communication with timely and supportive response). - Strong understanding of costing methodologies. - Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications. - Ability to do take-offs and find products on plans to bid. - Working knowledge of Precast products – preferred.
