The Project Manager role forms part of our Project Management Office (PMO) organization and is the primary customer focal point for project orders. The PMO has the overall responsibility and authority for the implementation and execution of Customer projects. He / She is responsible for the entire process from the Bid /Quote clarification phase until cash collection. This includes having a complete understanding of the project scope and requirements while also having ownership for timely delivery and profitability.
The role is based at Emerson Automation Solution, Dubai, UAE.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Planning and Execution:
Develop and be responsible for the Project Plan that includes schedules, landmarks, procurement strategy, execution strategy, financial targets, resources, communications, and considerations of risks. Coordinate manufacturing sites through effective planning scheduling and management Managing critical path and leading execution risk Coordinate cross-functional project teams Work to finalize completion of the project including the MRO handoff, documentation, lessons learned and project closeoutRelationship Management:
Lead internal and external communication for Tier 3 (high Complexity) & Tier 2 (medium complexity) project orders. Lead the customer post-award meeting when the order is committed to Emerson. Lead the Internal Kick-Off meeting to resolve all open issues and provide clarity on the execution plan. Coordinate Pre-Inspection meetings with the Customer’s Inspector and achieve clarity on the inspection requirements and process. Liaise with IPM to coordinate the inspections at the factory. Interface and connect with the customer/sales office to provide updates, landmarks, and progress appropriately. Ensure alignment on the Commitment Date and the Customer PO Dates including achievement dates for drawing and procedure submittals, drawing and procedures approvals, equipment inspection notifications, and “Ready for Inspection” dates. Participate in joint project review/discussion with the pursuit teamContract Management:
Understand the Terms and Conditions of the contract Minimize exposure to penalties, familiarity with contract law and regulations Work to ensure costs are led and wherever possible, that still allows the project to meet customer requirements, action should be taken to avoid costs Negotiate/influence internally or externally for the initial scope of the project, change order, progress payments and all additions or expectations to the project.Financial Performance
Financial performance management. Effectively handle change orders for improved financial performance and manage margin uplift. Lead financial targets and metrics for the project with the help of the relevant Financial AnalystDocumentation
Support document controllers (DC) for timely submission of Documents Ensures on-time approval of documents for manufacturing, inspection, and shipping. Review customer comments and work with shareholders for resubmissionWho you are:

For this Role, You Will Need:
5+ years of relevant Project Management or Application Engineering experience in engineering space Effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills Experience in successful management of multisite, multi-country projects Self-starting and committedPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
