Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Project Manager, who will be responsible for managing the execution of internal assigned project(s)/program(s) from conception to completion. These internal assigned programs are to execute internal R&D activities to architect and design new systems and capabilities.

In this position, you will be responsible for the cost, schedule performance and risk management for assigned programs. Coordinates with internal Thales organizations, to communicate requirements and execute the program with technical accuracy, consistency and as well as managing the communications and relations with various stakeholder and team members.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Manage stakeholder relationships by leading interactions, ensuring transparency, and coordinating with decision-makers to meet project objectives.Ensure on-time delivery by adhering to project baselines, managing costs, and optimizing opportunities while mitigating risks.Set up and maintain project baselines by defining staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessment while ensuring visibility and regular updates.Identify and manage risks and opportunities through continuous assessment, contingency planning, and proactive issue resolution.Lead and coordinate the project team by organizing tasks, ensuring effective communication, and maintaining alignment with project goals.Oversee financial performance by managing costs, revenue, cash flow, and profitability to ensure project success.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.2+ years of experience in program management in the field of aerospace/avionics or in a similar technical field.Demonstrable work experience in a technical delivery environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Can manage scope and requirements autonomously.Adept at building project schedules with Microsoft Project.Experience with PM tools – Confluence or equivalent, JIRA or equivalent. Experience performing risk management activities. Experience planning for the various stages of transformational and transitional change, recognizing how people react to it and how it affects the organization.Must be a US Person as defined in applicable law.

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: First Shift, 8AM-4PM Monday through Friday; Core Business Hours Monday-Friday 9/80 work week 9AM-3PTravel: domestic and/or international travel to perform the essential functions of the position; 2 times / year
