PROJECT MANAGER

The role will support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Head of the Operations in the Italian Branch across the AGL landscape to plan, manage, monitor and control key business projects and their outcomes. This includes third parties: distributors as well as IT service providers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Manages key projects of the company, which is built according to the business strategy, including digitalisation initiatives, developing and achieving agreement to the project business case and managing progress to ensure that the defined benefits are delivered and embedded across the organisation. Ensures the timely delivery of projects are proactively managed against key milestones including any project interdependencies, ensuring that delivery is within the allocated budgets. Manage Business Data flows with distributors: definition of the requirements, change and testing with third parties involved. To support and coordinate business IT deliverables with external IT partners in the whole implementation phase:  business requirements gathering, tracking and monitoring of the development phase, user testing, post release support. To support to plan/run/optimize the AGL reports for the Branch (authorities reporting, data warehouse reporting, etc.) Working closely with senior stakeholders to identify, report and communicate around performance improvement opportunities and agree on action plans and following the best possible resource allocation. Acts as a focal point for change management and project management initiatives Manages all key risks associated with projects according to Allianz governance and reporting procedures ensuring appropriate stakeholder management is adhered to at all times. Provides timely solutions to issues that arise in a timely manner. Leverages stakeholders as appropriate to ensure project timelines are maintained

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in Business Administration or Economics Recognised experience and qualification in the area of Project Management, preferably Prince2, PMP, or IPMA certifications. Commercial skills with experience in Agile and Waterfall Methodologies, proficient in the use of Agile tools such as Jira/confluence. Project management skills, including project organisation, estimation, planning, tracking reporting and risk and issue management. Ability to identify areas for improvements and provide a solution Ability to collaborate effectively with sponsors, IT Delivery Mangers, Project Managers and other senior stakeholders. Ability to balance a number of conflicting priorities and support management in making decisions. Strong negotiating and influencing skills; ability to challenge when appropriate. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, MS Project, Planview and PowerBI, plus strong knowledge of Relational Databases Knowledge of CRM tools like MS Dynamics or Saleforce Good attention to details and processes Excellent written and verbal communication in Italian and English
