Project Manager

Confluence Water, a Ventia, Downer and Jacobs Joint Venture, is one of three Regional Delivery Partnerships providing services for Sydney Water. We work hard to ensure that Sydney Water keeps running for people who live in the North Region of Sydney - rain, hail or shine. We are responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works over the next 10 years.

Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

Downer has an opportunity for a seasoned Mechanical Project Manager to join our Confluence Water Joint Venture team in a permanent, full-time position. Reporting to a Project Lead, this presents an excellent opportunity for an Project Manager to undertake Construction of Water & Wastewater Projects in a long-term program of works. You will be responsible for the delivery of the project from inception to final stage commissioning whilst focusing on the development and efficient productivity of a growing team. 

ABOUT YOU

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proven construction experience. Previous work experience on reservoir projects is a bonus. Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality, and environmental management. Previous experience with major tier-1 contractors or Sydney Water undertaking similar work is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Client relationship and stakeholder management experience. Scoping, delivering packages of mechanical works Working within a team and managing internal and external stakeholders Proactive problem solving and solutions focused Passionate about the Project Management Fundamentals including: Time, Cost, Schedule, Risk.      Solid experience and understanding of project forecasting requirements. Can effectively communicate with senior leaders and tradespeople.  Exposure to large infrastructure projects is advantageous. Proven and demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to multitask and has an appetite for developing others.
