Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure positive job margins through project completion and manage budgets effectively. They will develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors while ensuring strict contract compliance and providing timely, transparent reporting. This role requires collaboration with Superintendents to keep projects on or ahead of schedule and the management, training, and supervision of the project team according to established systems and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure positive job margins through project completionReview estimations and manage budgetsEnsure strict contract complianceDevelop and nurture long-term relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractorsProvide timely and transparent reportingCollaborate with Superintendents to keep projects on or ahead of scheduleManage, train, and supervise the project team according to established systems and proceduresComplete all job close-out proceduresConsistently meet established deadlines and project schedulesEssential SkillsA combination of education and experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (e.g., a degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience)3+ years of direct experience in construction management with a track record of successful projectsProven leadership skills with the ability to maintain a professional environmentStrong planning and negotiation skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong ability to prioritize multiple concurrent deliverables and meet tight deadlinesProficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office suiteExceptional management, leadership, and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgencyAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with healthcare, behavioral health, or affordable housing is a plusSkills in estimating and preconstruction are a plusExperience with submittal reviews, closeout procedures, subcontractor buyout, and RFIsExperience with project billings, cost tracking, and financial reportingExposure to cradle to grave project experience in commercial construction as a project engineer, assistant project manager, or entry-level PMProven experience in leading junior level project engineers and subcontractorsWork Environment
The role offers an opportunity to work with a mid-sized contractor providing a rapid career growth trajectory and exposure to multiple project types and scopes. The work environment includes managing multiple projects, delivering reports and submittals, maintaining sub-lists, subcontracts, schedules, change orders, insurance, material procurement, logistics, as-builts, and closeout procedures. The candidate will work with various technologies and equipment, maintaining a professional demeanor throughout.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
