Job Overview Project Manager position is responsible for overall management and associated conformance to company policy for NIWC projects. Working with the Program Manager this position will be a central point of contact for the performance of all NIWC WEST IPT support work under these projects. This position has the overall responsibility for project performance, financial management, and quality of work, supervision of employees, personnel administration, and responsiveness. This is a full-time position in support of the Chugach NIWC USCG IPT team. The work may be performed in Colorado Springs, CO or Chesapeake VA. Travel up to twenty-five percent of the time in locations such as Omaha, NE. Benefits: Medical, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k, Holidays, PTO Salary Range: $60/hourly Work Model: Onsite/ Office-based Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Manages, organizes, plans, directs, coordinates, controls, administers, monitors, and oversees the day-to-day operational and administrative tasks/activities of the projects for NIWC support for Video systems in Colorado Springs. Conduct daily meetings to provide project updates and milestones. Manage expectations and relationships with the client and align with team objectives Anticipate problems and opportunities, and addresses them appropriately and effectively using best business practice Oversees the development, implementation and reporting of performance metrics Perform continuous review of program performance results and interfaces with government representatives to address status, operational issues, and metrics in a timely manner Identify resources required for the project and oversees employee selection, hiring, and development as required Serve as key team member in proposal efforts to develop solutions that meet existing and potential client expectations Ensure work is executed in accordance with company policies and values along with client specifications. Provide the leadership, direction, and necessary resources to ensure successful and effective contract performance in the areas of safety, quality, cost productivity, compliance, timeliness, accuracy, and cooperation Ensure that adequate staffing is available to satisfy requirements of each specific order Performs complete management and oversight functions for contract partners and subcontractors Performs related work as assigned. Be willing to travel up to 25%. Job Requirements Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or business from an accredited institution. Ten (10) years of experience in a position of overall leadership with a focus on project management for technical trades and DOD contracts. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience overseeing relevant projects and government contracts with a proven track record of successful management. Ability to provide Driving Record upon request. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
