Summary of the role:

Within Consulting and Bespoke Services (CBS), we provide expert consulting and bespoke development services to maximize the success of our customers when they use Amadeus technologies. We aim to design the right level of serviceability for these solutions and to industrialize our delivery practice worldwide in order to meet commercials' pipeline objectives. 

Within the Consulting and Bespoke Services team, we have different operational areas:

- the Bespoke area is in charge of designing, building and maintaining taylored-made applications for customer specific requirements. These custom development services connect the dots between heterogeneous systems, and bring optimization and productivity to our customers. The group is owning a portfolio of +600 solutions having an extensive functional coverage of all travel agencies business processes.
- the Consulting area is in charge of sharing its expertise with our customers, including recommendations on how they can achieve the best from our Amadeus solutions whilst fulfilling their business and strategic objectives. ​It covers the following type of activities: Premium Services, Consulting, and Complex Implementations for Air Shopping and API business domains.

You will be in charge of managing medium to large projects for Consulting and Bespoke Services organization (CBS). You will be responsible to lead the project core team through the definition and planning phases, and to monitor and control the project execution.

Within the transversal governance team, you will also have the responsibility to supervize the projects of CBS organization by supporting the project managers on their project management activities and by providing to the top management an overall executive status of the department projects progress, along with insights and recommendations to ensure their successful delivery

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

Generic Accountability:

Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure project core team performs at a high level. Is recognized as a leader in own area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists. ​Understands how main business drivers may impact on own area. Can assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.​Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions. Leads projects or contributes to broad cross-functional projects. May contribute to planning of resources and budget.

Project Management Accountability:

Create and execute project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project. For services, coordinate delivery with delivery organization(s).Ensure management of project controls (risks, issues and dependencies).Review project deliverables and ensure they are of the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget in accordance with the project plan.Effectively apply the Amadeus project management methodology and enforces project standards.Ensure that the project is managed to budget, time and quality; that it delivers the benefits anticipated in the business case. Uses structured logic and methods to solve problems. Proposes effective solutions based on own/team's ideas and feedback

Projects Governance & Best Practices / Knowledge Sharing:

Maintain and publish the categorized projects inventory list for the department.Ensure compliance to Amadeus project methodology of the projects and enforce project standards .Deliver a consolidated and synthetic overview to senior management of the department, including risk analysis across all projects. Ensure alignment and collaborative decisions from the department management team across all projects.Monitor that project statuses are published by the project managers and provide them with guidance when necessary.Provide insights and prioritize the attention points. Suggest necessary actions, relay project managers escalations and needs. Track management decisions and actions.Ensure harmonization of project management practices within the departement.Provide guidance to the project managers by sharing best practices, as well as templates

About the ideal candidate:

University degree in Business or Technology, or Engineering school degree, or Business Management school degree, or equivalent experience in Travel Business and Operational Management3-5 years of experience as Project Manager or Governance Operations.Customer project experience, or product management background is a plus                                Knowledgeable on Travel Agencies operations, and on GDS functionalities.Familiar with Front-office & Mid-office business process.Familiar with Amadeus corporate ecosystem & processesExcellent English skills
