Project Manager
Job Title: Project Manager - Precast Construction
Job Description

As a Project Manager for precast projects, you will oversee a range of projects from hollow core and total precast buildings to large volume wet cast projects. Success in this role requires delivering projects on schedule, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. You will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with various departments and acting as a liaison between consultants and stakeholders to ensure project success.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.Maintain effective communication and relationships with clients and stakeholders.Review estimates and identify value engineering opportunities.Assist contractors, owners, and prime consultants with preliminary design before the drafting/engineering phase.Resolve conflicts as they arise.Develop and maintain project schedules.Award and manage sub-trades.Review and approve purchase orders.Calculate and manage monthly progress claims.Lead internal project meetings on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.Review and approve consultants' shop drawings.Assist with scheduling to determine if hauling permits are needed.Coordinate the drafting and engineering process with sub-consultants.Estimate, price, and negotiate extras and credits with clients and trades.Review and approve all sub-trade invoices.Provide regular project status updates to the team.Attend design and project meetings with contractors, prime consultants, and owners.Review and act on contractor site meeting minutes and ensure the completion of project deficiencies.Facilitate project closeout, including documentation and meetings.Essential Skills5-10 years of experience in construction.Proficiency in in-house scheduling software (MS Projects or Smart Sheets).Experience in drafting.Education in construction, engineering, or architecture.Additional Skills & QualificationsCAPM or PMP certificate.Experience in estimating.Experience working with owners, stakeholders, and site supervisors.Work Environment

The office is located in Waterdown, ON. The role requires 5 days in the office with no hybrid flexibility and 40-hour work weeks. Site visits are expected on an as-needed basis, with site locations ranging from Windsor to Ottawa. The company offers a family-owned atmosphere with opportunities for yearly BBQs, quarterly lunches, Christmas events, and profit-sharing opportunities. Projects range from $25K to $8 million, including educational institutions, schools, low-rise residential buildings, and garages.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
