Project Manager

Airswift has been tasked by a major Oil and Gas client to seek a Project Manager to work within their facilities in Houston, TX for an initial 24-month contract with benefits.
Responsibilities Deliver Projects – determine scope, estimate, plan, economically evaluate, and execute. Find Solutions – A successful project starts with executing the right scope – Ensure the root cause of the problem is being addressed with a pragmatic engineering solution. Build Teams – resource every element of your project portfolio – Engineering resources, materials, fabrication, labor. Competitively Bid and Award work – Build quality requests for proposal in support of your projects, ensure resources are identified and used to maximize value. Manage Contracts in execution - negotiate rates, resolve conflicts, and provide feedback to contract companies on performance expectations. Correct course when expectations are not being met. Make Plan – Deliver accurate cost estimate and schedules to your customer, the Asset Teams, so that you can support the delivery of plan. Seek Input – Proactively collaborate with all project stakeholders to ensure that the right goals are set and met – operators, maintenance technicians, engineers (reservoir engineers, geologists, operations engineers, surface facility engineers), field foremen, Asset leadership, and peer project managers. Get Feedback – facilitate effective and value-add lessons learned sessions so that we get better every day, at every stage in the project – Engineering package development, construction planning, and after action reviews on construction. After the project is in-service, own the performance and learn how to further improve. Be Agile – Must be willing to work on a wide variety of projects in a range of environments, primarily aging brownfield assets, but also greenfield developments. Expect to travel 25% of the time to perform field walkdowns and meet with field stakeholders. Adhere to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
Qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred. BS in other engineering disciplines or equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position will be considered. Extensive experience (10 years preferred) and deep knowledge in the design, operation, and upgrading existing facilities, as well as predictive/condition-based methods applied in the process industry (upstream oil & gas, refining, chemical). Preferred experience in gas processing facilities Self-starter with proven leadership skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure, and dedicated to developing the work force. Ability to maintain a positive, professional and solutions-oriented approach with employees, supervisors, and other departments. Active knowledge on standards and codes and their application on rotating equipment such as API, ASTM, ASME codes. Experience with Process Safety and PSM facilities. Experience in contract and project management. Proficiency in the use and application of common software, such as MS Office Suite, MS Projects, and PowerBI.
