Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work directly with Fortinet's IT Operations Team to lead new service deployments. In this role, you will work closely with various internal teams, including Sales, MIS, and Service teams, to define, prioritize, and successfully deliver projects that align with the company's goals. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, resources, and ensuring all deliverables are met with a focus on achieving corporate growth objectives.

As a Project Manager, you will:

Collaborate with the Sales team to define and understand service requirements for new service deployments.  Coordinate with internal teams, including MIS, to prioritize tasks and establish realistic completion targets.  Work with Service teams to assist in the development of new platforms and services that will be integrated into Fortinet’s security portfolio.  Support the development of project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and address any issues or obstacles that may arise, ensuring successful and on-time project completion. Provide regular project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

 

We Are Looking For:

Proven experience (5+ years) in handling complex customer escalations and working closely with the Sales team and the Support team, especially in the areas of Networking, Cybersecurity, Software Development, or Infrastructure. Proven experience (2+ years) working as a Project Manager on OpenStack platforms, Containerization, Automation, or other related, with a strong understanding of IT operations and project management methodologies. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field. Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, IPS, Antivirus, Web Filtering, Antispam, etc.  Strong understanding of service deployment processes and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Sense of urgency for the field requests and good judgement of severity and business impact. Strong planning and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and strategic mindset. The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. CCNA or CCIE (a bonus) RHCE (preferred)

 

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $110,000 - $150,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
