Who will you be working with?
Our best-in-class Project Management team drives success by bridging our customers to our development teams. We shepherd initiatives from idea to implementation. Here you will interact daily with internal and external stakeholders to manage cost, scope, and schedule. This position has program responsibility within a matrixed origination and plays a critical role in project delivery.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Project Management group/division, you will be responsible for overseeing commercial and technical delivery of projects within the Logistics & Analytics business.
This role reports to the Senior Manager of Program Management and supports the Logistics team by managing the project schedules, cost, scope, and risks, as well as being the central communication hub between all internal and external stakeholders.
What do we want to know about you?
• BS Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Project/Program Management
• Experience with SaaS applications is desired
• Proven experience in project / program management within a matrixed organization
• Experience with program planning/management systems/tools; with particular emphasis on capacity planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
• Proven experience in managerial and technical communication
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Excellent computer skills – for example, Windows Suite
What will your typical day look like?
• Manage program to deliver on time, within budget, meet revenue & margin targets, and meet contractual obligations. This includes managing a cross-functional team to ensure on-time delivery. Leverage communication and influencing skills to achieve success in a matrixed environment.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive project plan for all work contemplated for assigned customers, including work currently underway and future work. Lead the communication of project status and deliverables both internally and to customers.
• Adhere to customer and industry standards/specifications, while keeping within Wabtec’s quality standards
• Lead efforts to identify risks, develop plans, and apply countermeasures to improve our position.
• Communicate issues and opportunities, including proposed plans and recommendations to resolve.
• Manage contract, project scope, risk, and Change Orders (CO)
• Represent the company as a customer program interface.
• Maintain detailed notes and track the status of all required meeting actions
• Optimize customer relationships throughout the program life cycle. Foster long-term, customer-centric relationships.
• Responsible for the development of high-quality written reports/presentations for management and customer reviews.
• Lead resource, Wabtec management, and customer reviews - project status, risk management, schedule, budget, performance to plan, etc.
• Travel as needed to/from intercompany, supplier, and customer offices.
• Lead by example by personally embracing and integrating process continuous improvement.
