Project Manager - Administration (Overlook Medical Center)
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Project Manager for the Administration department at Overlook Medical Center. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Reporting to the OMC Chief Medical Officer, Project Manager will support the Hospital Administration with the management of complex projects including high visibility, and/or interdisciplinary projects. Responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Develops a detailed project plan to track progress and escalates to management as needed. Executes and documents cost benefit analysis and justification findings. Principal Accountabilities: + Tracks project progress against milestones and deadlines and regularly reports to senior management. + Assists with selection, negotiation, and other related activities with respect to external vendors or consultants. + Monitors the project life cycle from planning, scoping, design, execution, and closure. + Reports quality metrics and ensures compliance with organizational and + regulatory standards and policies. + Maintains and distributes documentation and communicates with team members on tasks and timelines. + Suggests process improvement strategies for better project execution. + Performs other related duties as assigned. Education: + Bachelor's degree in business management, Project Management or related field required. + Master’s degree in public health, health-care management or related field or related work experience strongly preferred Experience + 3 years of experience as Project Manager or other related field with demonstrated increased responsibility in the healthcare industry preferred. + Experience working on short and long-term healthcare projects. + Project Management Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. + The work is accomplished in a team environment and requires excellent problem solving and communication skills with a high level of professionalism and independent judgement.
