**Job Summary**
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all assignments, work product and client satisfaction for Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Drinking Water Inventory & Protection (DWIP)Team. Monitors contract deliverables and communicates with clients, management and team members on status and issues affecting performance.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Supervises, plans, develops, and coordinates the schedules activities of team members; assigns work to meet deadlines and productivity standards; performs quality assurance of work products.
+ Ensures the team’s job knowledge and productivity meet contractual requirements; coordinates with management to develop, evaluate and disseminate training materials and plans for staff; evaluates employee performance; and recommends personnel actions.
+ Maintains employee engagement and client relationships by providing support, answering questions, and resolving issues.
+ Reviews requests for public water system data changes; provides technical assistance to external and internal customers about registrations.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, business, or relevant discipline from accredited college.
+ One (1) year management experience; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be substituted as appropriate.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience reviewing technical documents.
+ Paralegal experience.
+ Experience training or mentoring others.
+ Experience with TCEQ registration and inventory processes.
+ Experience with databases and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, Power BI and List.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Solid working knowledge of database entry/
+ Ability to learn TCEQ 30 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 290 rules and TCEQ’s Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS), Consolidated Compliance and Enforcement Data System (CCEDS), and Central Registry databases.
+ Skill in supervising employees and assessing performance.
+ Ability to determine proper courses of action.
+ Ability to manage time, resources and assignments to meet deadlines.
+ Ability to review and interpret rules, regulations and records.
+ Ability to follow all applicable institutional standard operations and procedures, project-related safety standards, and paper and electronic file management requirements.
+ Ability to learn, remember, and integrate complex concepts, difficult procedures, or complicated processes.
+ Ability to communicate with employees, clients, and customers to conduct interviews, gather information and explain rules and regulations.
+ Ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents; and to perform quality assurance on employees’ work products.
+ Ability to work independently in office and remotely.
+ Ability to work professionally and cooperatively in a team environment.
+ Ability to complete all physical tasks as needed.
