The Business Area Manager (BAM) role typically serves as a liaison between program management, contracts, finance, project planning, leadership, and the customer on various contract business matters.
The primary function of the Project Manager – BAM, is oversight and management of the GA-ASI proposal process as is applies to the USAF P&L. The BAM ensures that proposals are prepared in a consistent, compliant, and timely manner. Additionally, this position is responsible for monitoring, managing, and coordinating cross-functional projects by sharing information and resolving problems to meet objectives. This role is expected to create plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure project(s) are completed on time and within budget.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Support the Program Manager on contract proposals and modifications requested by the customer. Collaborate and assist with development of project plans and manage resources to ensure proposal or project cost, schedule, and performance (quality) are achieved to meet project or proposal delivery commitments. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and present results to the project management team and/or management.Interact with internal and external stakeholders at various levels concerning contract proposals.Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities.Administer and execute policies, processes, and procedures that impact the assigned project.Ensure compliance with environmental and other regulations.Identify and assess project issues and develop recommendations for solutions to meet program commitments and customer objectives.Participate in or lead the request for proposal (RFP) process. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
