Project Manager - Children's Quality

The Project Manager - Children's Quality facilitates the successful planning, build, implementation and evaluation of quality programs.
This role supports the implementation of key projects by developing action plans along with key stakeholders, monitoring their progress against shared deadlines and providing additional targeted capacity to management team members in executing those plans.
This implementation support can take the form of, but not be limited to, analytical facilitation, change management, project management, process improvement, implementation of project evaluation tools, and research. In the course of that support, the Project Manager will be expected to elevate issues and barriers to success to leadership for resolution. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solutions for patient safety and furthering the quality and safety work at UVA Health Children’s. This position requires an on-site presence as needed.
• Provides support through project planning, facilitation, task execution and/or communication support.
• Conducts regular project review sessions with department leaders to monitor progress against timelines including issue audits and mitigation steps.
• Develops and reviews analytical work products for accuracy, completeness and help frame the analysis for leadership decision-making.
• Provides effective project consultation and facilitation to ensure projects meet goals and objectives as defined by leadership and in compliance with relevant standards.
• Facilitates the evaluation of in-process and completed projects to support future process improvement.
• Supports the management team with scheduling internal and external meetings related to strategic initiatives, taking meeting minutes, and tracking follow up items.
• Maintains a team calendar of project deadlines, reporting deliverables and advisory committee meetings to ensure alignment across all ongoing projects and workstreams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $69,201.60 - $110,718.40 Annual
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: 5 years of professional experience required. Project management experience preferred.
Licensure: Project Management Professional (PMP/PMI) certification preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
