Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. Coordinates all site construction activities; responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site.
Supervises all field personnel, as well as physically working daily with tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This job requires ability to work with tools and equipment the majority of the time and act in a Supervisory capacity.
Maintains the clear, concise communications with other team members, including but not limited to project managers, field managers, purchasing agents, and regulatory personnel.
Ensures safe construction practices at all times.
Develops, maintains, and oversees the work schedules of crewmen and trades according to project schedule requirements.
Plans and coordinates purchase and delivery of supplies consistent with project requirements.
Maintains accurate and consistent project logs. Provides reports as assigned.
Maintains accurate inventory of materials and tools necessary for crews.
Performs accurate take-offs and prepares accurate material lists for jobs buy out.
Accurately interprets and applies applicable OSHA regulations, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires the ability to work under/handle stressful situations.
Must be a quick thinker and able to displays positive emotional behavior, as well as apply positive social skills with co-workers, vendors, customers, and patients.
Work Schedule: 80 Hours bi-weekly
Qualifications /Training:
Seven (7) years of construction superintendent or project management experience, leading and/or coordinating the work of 10 or more individuals or trade personnel. Knowledge and understanding of managing Healthcare projects Must have demonstrated the ability to manage logistical and mentally complex jobs. Basic knowledge of a variety of skilled trades, including but not limited to flooring, acoustical ceiling tile, carpentry, painting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and drywall. Strong computer skills and fluid user of software for construction applications, adept at reading and interpreting construction documents, plans, and blueprints. Effective communicator at all levels of the organization internally and externally. Customer Focused – consistently deliver superb customer service while building a strong customer relationship for future projects.Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Bachelor degree required. Valid South Carolina or equivalent general contractor’s license required. Valid driver’s license required.
