Project Manager – Content Marketing Operations
The Project Manager – Content Marketing Operations role is designed to be a proactive and aggressive position focused on the practical execution and optimization of a content marketing strategy. This role oversees the entire content lifecycle from ideation to distribution, ensuring smooth workflows, efficient production, and accurate performance tracking. Essentially, the Project Manager acts as the "behind-the-scenes" operator that translates a content strategy into actionable steps and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Workflow Management: Streamlining content creation processes by defining clear editorial calendars, assigning tasks to relevant team members, managing deadlines, and tracking progress through project management tools.
+ Technology Implementation: Selecting and managing multiple content management systems (CMS), marketing automation, analytics tools, and the Master CMS ecosystem to facilitate content creation, distribution, and reporting.
+ Performance Analysis: Regularly monitoring key content metrics like website traffic, engagement rates, conversions, and social shares to identify areas for improvement and optimize content strategies based on data insights.
+ Quality Control: Establishing and enforcing editorial guidelines, ensuring consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across all content formats.
+ Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Working closely with content creators, designers, marketing teams, sales teams, and subject matter experts to gather necessary information, align content with business goals, and facilitate smooth content production.
+ Distribution Strategies: Developing and executing plans for distributing content across multiple channels including the company website, social media platforms, email marketing campaigns, and other relevant channels.
+ Audit and Optimization: Regularly reviewing existing content to identify opportunities for improvement, updating outdated information, and optimizing content for search engine ranking.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
+ 3+ years’ experience in content marketing project management.
+ Project Management Skills: Ability to manage complex projects with multiple moving parts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
+ Analytical Skills: Understanding of data analysis and the ability to interpret content performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.
+ Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with various content management systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
+ Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly convey content strategy and insights.
+ Process Improvement Mindset: Ability to identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement improvements to optimize content operations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
