Job Overview:
This position coordinates and plays a lead role for Project Managing activities associated with Customer Supply systems. Customer Supply systems generally consist of cryogenic storage tanks, vaporizers, pumps, high pressure receivers, controls and instrumentation at customer locations delivering atmospheric gases, hydrogen, or CO2. Work Ranges from standard installations to first of a kind/complex project.
This position performs project managing from proposal to implementation and interacts with US regional installation service centers, serving as a technical expert within the organization.
Using good interpersonal skills, this position will work with technicians, sales and contractors on projects which focus on safety and training. The position will manage non-standard supply system activities, while controlling budget performance. Responsibilities will also include administering the quality program, including documentation. In addition, this position will facilitate turnkey activities with contractors on projects from site survey to start-up.
This position reports to a local Customer Service Installation Superintendent but may supervise the work of less experienced technicians.
Works closely with USIG Sales, Business Development, Engineering, PDI, PHS, PSI, Logistics, Distribution, Legal, and Safety.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Layout and size basic to complicated customer liquid and gas supply systems for atmospheric gases, hydrogen, or CO2. Initiates and/or approves detailed design calculation such as storage tank sizing, process line sizing, piping and manual valve specification, safety relief valve sizing and liquid pump sizing using provided engineering tool.Reviews fabrication drawings and other construction submittals for conformance to specifications and makes design recommendations.Serves as a consultant to others, providing technical information and engineering recommendations that assist with various projects and training purposes.Support for operations: Makes timely technical decisions based on awareness of viability, cost, and other benefits; sometimes with limited information and under tight deadlines and pressure. Is innovative in developing, selecting, and implementing engineering techniques and solutions to drive safety, reliability and productivity of supply systems.Makes effective presentations to internal and external customers.Participates in the development of standards and guidelines.Job Overview:

2 years’ experience in Project ManagementHas extensive computer skills (Microsoft, CAD, Excel).Knowledge of design Codes and Standards, including ASME, NFPA, DOT, and CGAKnowledge, application, and specification of piping materialsExcellent writing skills and interpersonal skillsAbility to meet schedule deadlines.Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to support project tasks and construction.About Linde:
