Location:  100% onsite in Jefferson, IN

This Opportunity:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects from planning through closing and ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service.  Provides overall project management support for assigned projects under the direction of the Senior Project Manager. This position ensures the safe and on-time delivery of high-quality installation services to the customer while managing schedule, productivity, and budget that align with the contract documents.

What You Will Do:

Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard Company culture. Participates in the RFP processes, completing a detailed review of plans, specifications, and entirety of bid package. Reviews contracts, work orders and purchase orders to fully understand contractual requirements and provisions, and to ensure scope of work is in alignment with associated estimate and respective contract documents. Cultivate and maintain customer relationships to secure and expand business opportunities. Provide initial client interface to assess scope of work and schedule necessary to successfully complete projects. Under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager or Business Segment Leader, develops and organizes project plans to include workforce, materials, equipment, subcontractors and other items necessary to successfully execute project works. Work with the field operations team to ensure proper materials, equipment and workforce are available. Manage project scheduling requirements to control costs and meet contractual requirements. Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships; streamline project activities for efficiencies; communicate with staff and upper management to keep all informed of customer and job requirements. Participates in project meetings and communicates updates and progress. Prepares job costing reports under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager or Business Segment Leader. Works with Project Engineers, Coordinators and Superintendents in preparing and submitting RFIs and change order requests. Monitors installation activities in conjunction with the Superintendent ensuring productivity is in alignment with the requirements of the schedule and budget and in place project work conforms with contract documents.  Partners with QA/QC to ensure alignment with quality plan requirements. Manages job cost and schedules, works with customer and other craft partner teams for coordination purposes; communicate with internal resources regarding project updates, scope changes, and other events impacting the project. Attends all required meetings and serves as an ambassador for the company. Coordinate with others on the Project Team to facilitate the development and timely delivery of correct submittals. Manages customer acceptance and signoff.

Needs for Success:

Must be proficient and well-practiced in leveraging information and data in making informed decisions. Extensive knowledge of Safety protocols, processes and procedures. Deep understanding of industry specific estimating and engineering best practices. Ability to identify change events and implement change management best practices. Knowledge of various construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards. Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and cost forecasting. Able to report and read out project information to all stakeholders as needed or required. Ability to develop and manage project schedules. Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others. Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills. Ability to effectively present to small and large groups. Disciplined, detail oriented, organized, and self-driven. Demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems, conflicts, and issues. Proficient in using a computer and business / industry applications - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura and others.

What You Bring to the Table:

Bachelor’s Degree Construction Management, Engineering or other related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry in a management or leadership role. Experience overseeing and managing large structured cabling projects and/or data center construction projects highly preferred. Experienced in managing all contracting and project delivery methods - lump sum / fixed price, cost plus, GMP, unit price / rate, design-build, time and material. Preferred professional certifications: OSHA-30 Hour certification (if not certified at time of hire, certifications must be obtained within first six (6) months of employment) BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) BICSI Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM) PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position will be assigned resources to direct on a project-by-project basis.

Work Location and Travel: 

On project site daily in Jefferson, IN with up to 15% travel
