We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
What You’ll Do
Monitor and Manage Risks, Issues, Assumptions, and Dependencies across project delivery. Leading risk and issue review meetings with stakeholders to ensure proactive management and resolution. Maintaining and updating risk registers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with best practices. Developing and maintaining risk management processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Coordinate Risk Governance Activities and ensure structured reporting and decision-making processes.What You’ll Bring
You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the Defence or professional services industries. Qualification (e.g. Degree, Diploma, Cert IV) in Risk Management, Project Management or relevant field. Experience in applying risk management methodologies aligned with best practice international standards (e.g. ISO 31000:2018). Cybersecurity and warfare, and military operations experience.More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
