Job DescriptionPlan, organize and direct an effective project engineering program; apply engineering principles and techniques to the solution of engineering problemsSupervise the construction of buildings and installation / commissioning  of equipment as required.                Initiate and promote project elements that support the corporate initiatives Monitors engineering aspects of equipment start-ups; ensures project start-up plans and required documentation are completed and coordinated with current / future Operations and Maintenance Department personnel.               Assure that both safety and regulatory requirements are complied with for the state / province and country where the project is in.  If there are deviations found that they are to be communicated and dealt with effectively.   Defines Execution project charter and project targets (financial, scheduling and scope); values taken over from respective departmentsTeam member creation in conjunction with the Plants, BU's and Central departmentsSteering committee set-up. Establishes an adequate project base (meetings and cadence, information/ knowledge exchange, documentation, archiving).Helps build up a supportive culture of cooperation and teamwork within the projectTailors optional activities according to the projects needs and ensure compliance to the processes.               Develops and maintains the Execution Plan in accordance with the valid processes (phases, deliverables, gates, etc.)  throughout life of project. Achieving the agreed operations objectives.              Perform Risk Management activities, control and steer the implementation of risk items                                                 

QualificationsMinimum of Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering.)Professional Engineer status / license.                               Project Management background (projects larger than $1,000,000)Skills in Auto CAD, Statistical Process Control, Control SystemsMinimum of 5 years Project Management experience required, 10+ years preferredExperience in working with international teams on purchasing topics and understanding of foreign cultures
