**Summary**
Supervises/directs project management design/construction/testing and acceptance efforts associated with installation of major facilities consistent with SRP's design/cost/schedule and quality criteria. Provides direct management of complex projects activities which span across departmental and corporate lines that require customized management structure for successful completion. Has management responsibility for projects valued up to $900 million. Required more than 2 years for design/construction activities. Gain experience working with external entities to ensure the project is completed Safely, on budget, and on time.
Work with a collaborative team to manage a Major Civil contract as a Project Manager. This collaborative team works with over 40 internal SRP groups to support project execution and will allow the project manager to gain valuable knowledge about the many different working groups within SRP. You will gain experience with all engineering disciplines throughout the complete design of the project. This role will be responsible for overseeing EPC contractors throughout the design process and ensuring design meets all contract requirements. Role will assist in the management of the complete project budget and schedule.
**What You'll Do**
+ Directs the preparation of project objectives. Detailed work plans and management controls for projects valued up to $900 million.
+ Directs and coordinates the efforts of project activities of multi-departmental of multi-company personnel assigned directly through a matrix organization to project team.
+ Identifies/delegates and prioritizes technical, administrative activities; Interviewing, performance appraisals and terminations.
+ Develops and maintains management feedback system to provide executive management visibility of project status, action or decision requirements.
+ Represents SRP management to outside agencies impacted by project assignments/activities.
+ Serves as a focal point of contact with outside entities.
+ Develops, implements and maintains management administrative standards and criteria requires to assure that project activities are performed consistently within SRP.
+ Develops and administers project manpower programs to utilize the external/internal resources in best interest of SRP while meeting project assignments objective.
+ Manages procurement/award of major consultant/equipment/construction contracts with direct recommendation responsibility on multi-million dollar value decisions in planning/implementation phase.
**What It Takes To Succeed**
+ No special licensing is required for this position. However, the individual should attend project management seminars to stay abreast of the changing atmosphere in management skills and business technology.
+ Frequent travel, irregular work hours and an ability to resolve conflicts under stress - consistent with project priorities. Working on special assignments for executive management with critical deadlines.
**Experience**
Minimum of 8 years cumulative and progressive exempt level professional experience.
**Education**
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.
**Hybrid Workplace**
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
