Overview TRC is seeking a Project Manager & Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to join our Portland or Augusta, Maine Engineering, Construction, and Remediation team. Candidate may also reside in and report to Manchester, NH. This career-oriented position requires providing clients all aspects of environmental consulting from proposal preparation to project execution. The position focuses on a candidate seeking to continue the development of technical skills, and management of projects, new and existing clients, and workloads. The ideal candidate has experience executing field activities and drafting technical reports, as well as project or task management experience. A desire to work with internal business development professionals and senior managers to establish and grow a sustainable client base is required. Responsibilities Position Responsibilities Include: Coordination and occasional oversight of drilling activities, other subsurface investigations, and remedial actions, including classifying soil, and collecting and submitting environmental samples (soil, water, sediment, soil gas, and indoor air) in accordance with state and federal regulations, QA/QC procedures, and established standard operating procedures. Preparation and/or review of technical reports including summarization of activities, data interpretation and analysis, drafting of soil boring and monitoring well construction logs, and participation in the development of recommendations and remedial options. Completion and/or coordination of ASTM-compliant Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, Conceptual Remedial Action Plans, and other due diligence efforts. Working knowledge of and experience with Maine DEP guidance, EPA regulations (including the Brownfields Program), and ASTM standards. Experience with MassDEP and NHDES regulations desired but not required. Preparation of proposals for new and existing clients. Project management including direct responsibility for invoicing and scope, schedule, and budget management. Development of solutions to project challenges in collaboration with senior staff. Management of field staff and other project personnel to ensure that budgets, schedules, and proposed scopes of work are met/satisfied. Direct interface with clients. Basic Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or other related field from an accredited university. 10+ years of relevant experience, including project or task management. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current refresher training. Desire to learn. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience interfacing with clients in a professional and service-oriented manner. Candidate must be both a reliable team player and self-starter. Ability to work in an office environment (Portland, ME or Augusta, ME). Position requires lifting equipment (up to 50 pounds) and working outdoors in all conditions. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
