The Global Supply Chain Project Manager is responsible for defining and optimizing supply chain strategies for critical projects. This role focuses on global supply chain initiatives and key product lines across the organization for Emerson's Actuation Technologies Business Unit.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Support key projects throughout their lifespan from early engagement in the project quoting stage though completed project execution Drive Supply Chain initiatives to completion inside the estimated project schedule Analyze the total supply chain for key projects and propose optimal (cost / time) options (primary and alternates) Identify and drive projects to meet NMI plan and Cost Reduction Targets. Develop and lead sourcing strategy for key business initiatives such as New Product Development and product re-location. Coordinate input between Category Managers, Tactical Procurement, Materials Managers, Manufacturing, and Product Engineering, to drive core sourcing initiatives such as supplier selection, components grouping, eSourcing as primary mechanism and Global best cost sourcing of components Assess supplier capabilities, perform cost benefit analysis, issue resolution, risk mitigation and contingency planning. Assess and communicate technical risks, business requirements, deliverables and schedules supporting project initiatives Continuously facilitate communications with leadership team and maintain progress on initiatives, including remotely while traveling Coach, train and lead supply chain team located in different world areas.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need: Business or technical / engineering degree required 7+ of Strategic Procurement & international purchasing experience 5+ Project Management experience Strong organizational, presentations, analytical and negotiation skills. Ability to successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams toward common goals / strategies Must be willing to travel (up to 25%) and possess skills to facilitate communications and progress initiatives while traveling
