The Project Manager will develop and implement procedures for projects of disposal of hazardous or contaminated materials per government regulations. They will train staff in the safe and proper handling of waste materials and perform segregation and identification of hazardous waste as needed.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills experience:
1-3 of Project Management & Hazardous Waste experience Supervisory experience Chemistry knowledge as it pertains to identification & segregation process of haz waste 40HR Hazwoper & 8HR Refresher compliant CA Title 22 (OSHA) & DOT Knowledge Experience with coordinating and leading HHW eventsSchedule: M-F 6AM to 3PM, some weekend work for projects as needed
Other duties include: managing onsite haz waste for WM locations in the market area, PH testing, running LEL meters, testing environments, segregation, supervision of technicians during projects, customer service, engaging with sales team and other duties as required.
I. Job Summary
Plans and directs all onsite activities at client location in relation to the storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes and other related services following federal, state & local regulations. Manages and plans activities of onsite personnel. Serves as liaison between client and vendors in relation to service issues and contract management. Maintains pre-established standards for safety and environmental issues.

RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience required. OSHA 24-Hour HAZWOPER Certification required. Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract requirements. The expected base pay range for this office/on-site position is $87,975 to $96,670. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
