A Hospital in Los Angeles is seeking a Project Manager with a focus on Healthcare. Operating within the non-profit industry, this role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading project plans, managing the team to meet deadlines, and ensuring project goals align with the sponsor's expectations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive project plans and manage them throughout their lifecycle
• Drive and manage the project management process, adapting to changes and mitigating risks
• Implement effective project management structures, promoting the adoption of PM methodologies, tools, and processes
• Facilitate the creation of project budgets by determining resource requirements from stakeholders
• Oversee the master project portfolio, providing stakeholders with regular updates on project statuses
• Identify potential project risks and devise risk solutions or contingency plans to mitigate them
• Coordinate tasks between internal and external team resources for smooth project execution
• Advise on the implementation of new process flows, monitor compliance, and recommend process improvements
• Ensure all administrative systems are closed upon project completion, including invoice and documentation management
• Conduct training for staff as part of the project closure process
• Regularly monitor project management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as staff satisfaction, quality indicators, timelines, and budgets.
Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare-related project management role
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting functions
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare operations
• Experience working with healthcare providers
• Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement processes
• Proven ability to manage healthcare projects effectively
• Understanding of the healthcare system at large
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with electronic medical records
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
• Proficiency in project management techniques and methodologies
• Experience in medical management in a healthcare setting
