The Opportunity
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing the coordination of the packaging/display/visual information flow process, functioning as a liaison between sales, estimating, accounting, production, and the customer.

Manage the customer experience:Quotes; Orders; Schedules/Tracking; Expediting; Shipping; Inventory Management; ReportingEstimating: Work with sales, management and customer on product estimating to produce item specific quotes, documenting accordingly.Orders: Manage and process customer purchase orders ensuring all data is complete, accurate, documented and tracked for customer fulfillment. Includes customer credit and set-up, pricing, product specifications, order tracking and correspondence for achieving on-time in-full (OTIF) deliveries.Manage all inventory (planned or unplanned) to reduce excess aged inventory and control costsManage all quality complaints in the system of record with plant quality manager providing root cause corrective action to customers within standard time allottedProcess customer/account specific reports, as needed; i.e. open order/status reports, etc.Create, facilitate and attend new item meetings as requiredAttend production meetings to ensure order tracking and fulfillmentCreate & facilitate customer and/or plant specific cadence meetings for accounts, as requiredVisit key customer and vendor locations to enhance ongoing business relationshipsOrganize and communicate customer feedback relative to company/plant/service performanceResponsible for continuous education in the areas of new technology, new processes, personal & professional growthProvide innovative ideas relative to service, sales, and process/proceduresAdhere to Smurfit WestRock values and operating principlesIndividual contributor that works under supervisionApplies subject matter knowledgeOther duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed:
High school diploma or GED required; Post-secondary education preferredExperience in customer service/account management preferredExperience in printing or packaging preferredStrong written and oral communication skills requiredProject management, problem solving, and analytical skillsExcellent organizational & time management skillsAbility to multitask and complete tasks efficiently and accuratelyAttention to detail and ability to prioritize is essentialMust be proactive, a self-starter/takes initiativeAbility to resolve conflicts and develop teamworkPersonal computer experience and knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft OfficeAbility to work with cost systems and estimating reportsWhat we offer:

The salary range for this position is $66,000.00 - $110,000.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
