GILBANE has an opportunity for a Project Manager I to support our pursuits and projects in the West/Southwest. This person will be assigned to our Concord, CA office.

Gilbane is seeking a Project Manager I to be responsible for supporting the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Manager in the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction-management project; as well as mentoring multiple Project Engineers and Superintendents. This position will be on the job site every day and will fill a key role on the project team.

ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environment.
Manage the project using established project controls and procedures.
Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost control.Buy-out of the project in alignment with the project budget.Communicate with owners, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management.Perform constructability and coordination reviews.Prepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, and others for internal and/or external use.Prepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profit.Provide jobsite leadership in safety and quality. BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management2-5 years of Project Management experience on projects valued at $30 million or largerOr equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior US Government/military construction project experience is preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong technical and communication skillsExcellent organizational skills.Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changingAbility to work in a teamProficient in Microsoft Office.Proficient in Procore (or similar) is desired.Must be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction.Must have experience in all Civil, Structural, and Architectural divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan. Must be able to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude.Must have experience supervising a project team.OSHA 30 hour certifiedMust be willing to travel and/or relocate.Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Concord, CA this ranges from $112,200.00-$154,300.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
