Project Manager I
Advanced Mission Partners, a wholly owned subsidiary of SSAI has an opening for a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to join our team at our Linthicum facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Responsibilities: • Work with senior management and cross-functional teams to set clear program goals, timelines, and deliverables. • Develop and oversee the execution of program plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations. • Ensure that the necessary resources (personnel, technology, equipment, etc.) are available for successful program execution. • Work with external stakeholders (suppliers, clients, partners) to ensure program success. • Regularly track and report on project milestones, performance metrics, and potential risks. Provide status reports on program progress, risks, and accomplishments to senior management and other key stakeholders. • Identify risks early and develop mitigation plans to address potential disruptions in the program's execution. • Ensure that products are delivered on time, meeting customer specifications and any contractual obligations. • Ensure that any changes in the program scope, schedule, or resources are properly documented, communicated, and managed. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, business management, project management and 7 years of professional experience in an engineering or technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience in project management and project management software tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. • US Citizenship is required. Desired Qualifications: • Experience in the management/leadership of space-related engineering, technological, and knowledge of a broad spectrum of disciplines involved in engineering and technology support. • Understanding of the full hardware development life cycle including requirements development, design, development, and integration and testing • Familiarity with generation of procurement documentation including purchase requests, sole source justifications, and price analysis.
