Project Manager II, Enterprise PMO
AAA is hiring for a Project Manager II to join our Enterprise Project Management Office!

Position Summary:

The Project Manager II is a highly experienced leader that manages strategic, enterprise-level projects of all scopes and complexities, both technical and non-technical. Responsibilities include managing Ideas/Demands as part of the Annual Demand Planning Process as well as leading approved projects after Demand Planning is complete. These projects range from enhancing existing business to expanding into new, strategic areas. The Project Manager will provide value to the overall Organization, across several Business Lines, by being the project leader responsible for the day-to-day management of the project on behalf of the Project Owner. Responsibilities will include leading all detailed phases of the Project Lifecycle: Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling and Closing. 

This position will act as a key connection point between individual leaders and contributors, including: Executive Leadership, Project Sponsor, Project Owner, Project Team members, Various Internal Business Lines and External Vendors. This role will work to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Associates, across all departments, and lead through exemplary performance in textbook project management.

What You'll Do:

Establishes Strong Presence as Overall Project Lead and Point Person of one, or more, projects at any given time.Leads projects by partnering with other departments and following standardized PMI Project Management Processes & Methodologies to guarantee project success.Leads as Project Management Role Model, establishing best leadership practices for successfully executing Waterfall/Predictive, Agile and Hybrid projects.Effectively communicates Project Status, Risks & Issues and Solutions to all StakeholdersEstablishes Project Team Roles & Responsibilities. Leads Cross-functional Project Teams of all Levels and Sizes.Promotes the importance, and need, for consistent project management components on all projects. Must be willing to coach others through learning project management.Leads the Initiation Phase by evaluating new project ideas/requests from various business lines and partnering with them to create overall business cases, including initial high-level Scope, Timeline, Budget, Resource estimates, RACI Matrix, Risk Register, Stakeholder Register, etc.Creates Professionally-Detailed Project Management Plans: Scope, Timeline, Budget, Procurement, Communication, Resource, Change, Risk and Stakeholder, to successfully set up the project for successful execution.Executes the Project Scope on time, on budget and to a high quality.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field is required. Master’s Degree a plus. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Project Management experience in IT, Insurance, Automotive, Commercial and Retail Fit-Out a strong plus.7+ years of High-Level Project Management experience in Business, IT or Retail/Commercial Project Management is required.Knowledge of Standard Project Management Practices & Methodologies: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent, is required.Agile Project Management Certification(s) and/or Scrum Certification(s) preferred.Strong desire to develop in the career of project management and leadership.Ability to coach & mentor others as Project Management grows within the overall organization.Knowledge of, and interest in, AAA Applications and ServicesStrong Leadership, Organization, Attention to Detail, and Communication Skills are a must.A “Make It Happen” Mindset to Creatively Lead and Take Ownership of Overall Project SuccessStrong Project Management, Scope Management, Time Management, Budget Management (Cost Management), Communication Management, Purchasing Management, Resource Management, Change Management, Risk Management and Stakeholder Management skills are required.Proven ability to manage several high-level projects at a time, both technical and non-technical.Knowledge and experience using Project Management Software: Microsoft Project (MS Project) is required. Experience using one or more Agile Project Management Tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps is preferred. Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) is also preferred.Proven ability to direct one or more project teams and coordinate with one or more departments (business lines) throughout the project life cycle.Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office (MS Office), Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required. Visio is preferred.Knowledge and experience using video-conferencing software such as Webex, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Zoom is necessary.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision.
