Project Manager II

Responsibilities As a Project Manager II, you will manage the cost, quality, and schedule of wireless infrastructure projects for new site builds and for modifications to existing facilities. Overview: The Standards – PM (Wireline) role serves as a main keyholder and dedicated resource to the wireline local markets and National supporting teams. This role is well-versed in the wireline scope of work and associated internal/external systems and principles to provide support and guidance in relation to MasTec’s client policy updates that affect wireline operations and processes. Responsibilities: Provides guidance with project lifecycle process and workflow (Project issuance, acceptance, rejections, KPI expectations, Project management, scope completion, Quality deliverables, invoicing and closeouts) Contributes technical guidance for proper usage of Articles and Adders. Provides updates to wireline local markets and National supporting teams with policy updates when these are published or announced. Provides guidance with systems that affect project workflow and processes (ORCA, ACAS, WALDO, etc.) Provides training on policies and Standards as required. Supports claims of escalations, performs vetting of claims, works with wireline local markets and National supporting teams. Authors policy update summaries for distribution to the wireline local markets and National supporting teams. Collaborates on NPMO communications to inform of process and policy changes Monitor process efficiencies, availability of resources, and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure high quality of service to internal and external customers. Manages incidents, service requests and provides support with changes related to systems and applications. Communicates with internal and external customers to provide information, guidance, and expectation of deliverable completions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of job aids, system access requirements, troubleshooting procedures and knowledge articles. Provides weekly reporting of activities to management to provide insights and trends. Contribute to knowledge management initiatives by sharing knowledge, best practices and lessons learned. Contribute to quality assurance efforts by participating in testing activities as needed. Collaborate effectively with team members, project managers, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure smooth operations, project delivery and customer satisfaction. Other cross training as required by the role. Qualifications Qualifications: Education and Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration 10 years role related experience and/or training Previous experience in a construction or OSP engineering-related field preferred OR Equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to maintain and support all incidents, service requests and changes related to scope of work, systems and applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Working knowledge of AUTOCAD Knowledge of Project management concepts and the ability to develop and implement automated workflows. Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts, collaborate with team members and provide clear updates to stakeholders Proficient in the analysis of Construction Drawings Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision Proficient in OSP principles and wireline networks Well versed in Local, State and Federal Jurisdictional parameters and processes for OSP Experience with Copper splicing, Fiber splicing, and working with handholes, Manholes. Working Environment: When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. Willingness and ability to travel as required for project implementation, training, or client support. Supports US hours Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm EST/EDT.
