Job Description

Puget Sound Energy is looking for a Project Manager to support the Business Lighting Incentive program. This position will manage the PSE incentive process for a wide variety of customer owned commercial lighting projects. The successful candidate should have experience in project management working on multiple customers/ contractors initiated projects at the same time. A general knowledge of, or the desire to learn, the technical aspects of commercial lighting is necessary as you will be the subject matter expert while working with customers.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects in various phases of the construction process at the same time. The candidate will evaluate submitted lighting projects for energy savings potential, including review of the existing lighting system and the proposed lighting fixture and control upgrades to the systems while ensuring compliance of all tariffs and financial procedures.

• Provides technical and project management functions to customer projects to produce sustainable energy savings by performing or overseeing energy audits of building energy systems including: review of facility energy-usage patterns; detailed analyses of complex efficiency measures including energy use modeling, the applicability and recommendations of measures for achieving greater energy efficiency of measures to customer facilities and operations, final inspection of completed projects, and end-use monitoring of electrical loads with data analysis.
• Provides exceptional customer service by managing customer expectations by clearly communicating status and next steps.
• Implements, and assists with the analysis and development of market-centric programs and related tariffs to produce sustainable energy savings more effectively by identifying barriers and developing solutions.
• Markets efficiency programs to eligible customers and various organizations.
• Implements projects and programs while ensuring compliance of all financial procedures; assists in the development of new and revised department policy proposals to increase effectiveness of programs and services.
• Maintains positive contractor relationship to ensure positive project development and follow-through.
• Monitors the development and market acceptability of new energy and lighting technologies.
• Participates in the development of new incentive offerings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. At least four years relevant work experience including managing simple projects. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to work as part of a team. Basic knowledge and experience in scheduling, estimating, accounting and finance principles. Basic knowledge in project management discipline to effectively arrange resources and manage multiple simple to medium complexity projects in a cross-functional environment. Customer-oriented, a positive, team-oriented and collaborative attitude, flexibility, an understanding of the business issues driving the need for the project, and solid work ethic are expected. Desired Qualifications

• Experience in aspects of lighting project development, including understanding both internal and external processes necessary to market, sell, deliver, verify and track lighting efficiency project activity.
• General knowledge of project management principles, processes and techniques, applied in a utility setting.
• Customer service experience.
• An attention to detail.
• Utility energy efficiency project experience.
• CEM credentials or other energy credentials.

The pay range for this position is $79,200.00 - $131,700.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
