Job Description

The Project Manager (PM) will take on the role of Scrum Master for an Agile Development team. They will communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders quarterly.  To help the Agile team achieve their goals, they will maintain and execute a quarterly work plan, help raise awareness and mitigate risks.

They will direct the day-to-day activities of Analysts, Engineers, Developers, and other IS personnel. The PM, in conjunction with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) and other Scrum Masters, is responsible for the success of the teams' plans, ensuring committed work is completed on schedule and the flow of value is optimized for the agile team they manage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Agile coaching and facilitation of all team ceremoniesLeads the Scrum and development team in self-organizationRemoves impediments and provides visibility and/or escalation to leadershipFosters a positive and productive environment within the Agile teamMonitors sprint/iteration work closely, proactively manages dependencies, and ensures committed work is delivered on timeKeeps team organized and focusedUnderstands the context and status of each feature and story planned for workSupports the RTE in administering quarterly planning

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business, or in a relevant fieldAbility to successfully navigate and execute within ambiguous and stressful situationsCritical thinking/problem solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsData visualization skills for highlighting and trending progressHigh level of integrity, ownership, accountability and initiativeContinuous learner; receptive to feedback, with a desire for improvementExperienced problem solver, strong collaborator, and able to provide organization and clarity around complex topicsAbility to actively inspire, coach, mentor, and motivate

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies and activities, particularly Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)1-3+ years of experience in related field (i.e., project management, software development, IS or Agile leadership, etc.)SAFe Scrum Master certification or similarExperience working in cross-functional Agile teams to deliver results with tight deadlinesUnderstanding of the transportation/logistics industryFamiliarity working with compliance systems like those under S404Comfortable working on production systems under auditKnowledge of the basic nature of auditing, enterprise IT environment and information system concepts, and IT audit principles and practices a plus

Additional Information

Expected base salary:  $80,000 to $125,000
