Job Description

Our Export Legacy development teams are responsible for maintaining and enhancing our mission critical system of record, Expeditors Transportation Management System (E.tms Export). We benefit from a balance of maturity, tenacity, and good humor, allowing us to deliver best in class results.

The Project Manager (PM) plays a key role working within a highly collaborative and Agile development team toward the design and production of mission-critical, enterprise-scale business systems. In our organization, the PM will take on the role of Scrum Master for one or more Agile Development teams. The Scrum Master uses their Agile experience and interpersonal skills to foster team health and collaboration, guiding the team to become high performing, empowered, and self-organizing. They apply systems thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and remove impediments to team and project success throughout the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be excited by servant leadership and applying their people skills in a technical environment. They will embrace ambiguity and enjoy being a member of cross-functional teams tackling complex problems. They will be capable of coaching and providing insights to the team(s) on how to improve processes and champion delivery of functioning software to a broad base of users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coaches the team in adoption of SAFe/Agile core values, principles, and practicesLeads the team in self-organization to deliver quality working software with predictability, efficiency and velocityFacilitates and conducts team SAFe ceremonies: daily stand-up, sprint planning, retrospective and refinementProvides metrics for the team and ARTRemoves impediments and provides visibility and/or escalation to leadershipFosters a positive and productive environment within the Agile teamMonitors sprint work closely, proactively manages dependencies and ensures committed work is delivered on timeKeeps team organized and focusedPromotes a mindset and focus on relentless, continuous improvementUnderstands the context and status of each feature and story in the PI planSupports the teams in administering PI planning

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1-3+ years of experience in related field (i.e., project management, software development, IS or Agile leadership, etc.)1-3+ years Project Management or Scrum Master experience (SAFe Scrum Master certification or similar preferred)Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Office 365Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams to deliver results with tight deadlinesInterest or understanding of the transportation/logistics industry

Additional Information

Expected base salary:  $80,000 to $125,000
