Project Manager III, Facilities Planning

Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for planning, designing and managing new facility construction across the Estes network. This position reports to the Director, Construction & Facilities Maintenance and will have a large degree of decision-making latitude in collaboration with the Director and other key stakeholders across Estes.

Participate in planning activities including clearly defining the scope of a project, documenting a project plan, defining an execution strategy and success measurements for follow up Provide thought leadership and guidance in business and financial analysis, recommended technologies and practices to reduce energy costs and other business value dimensions Manage a high volume of projects simultaneously while consistently delivering high quality results Leverage network and relationships to identify business requirements and change orders needed Collaborate with Facilities team, terminal and shop management on plans, timing, implementation status, etc. Plan and coordinate schedules of vendors Research issues, resolve problems and communicate to those having a business need to know Accountable for all responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws Nationwide travel is required Regular attendance is required. Qualifications:

BS in construction management or engineering; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background 7 years of project management in facilities design, planning and implementation with focus on energy savings programs and solar power systems; with proven experience to read and interpret documents such as building and site plans, safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedure manuals required Ability to develop creative solutions to complex business problems Strong analytical skills including financial analysis and financial modeling Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills and organization abilities Ability to thoroughly understand business requirements, technological tools and strong documentation skills Ability to balance short-term execution needs with long-term strategic goals Be able to see the bigger picture, but also to hone in on specific details to make sure a project meets its stated goals Well versed in MS Word, Excel and Access Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct Must be able to interact well with others Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check Must be authorized to work in the United States
