Project Manager - Information Systems

 

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for managing overall IS projects and deliverables. Acts as the customer’s single point of contact for the projects they manage.

Primary Position Responsibilities

Controls planning and execution of project activities and resources to see that established time, cost, scope and quality goals are met. Successful communication with business/clinical leadership regarding implementation and deployment of applications including project status, problems, risks, and incidents. Able to conduct successful presentations to business/clinical staff by leading discussion topics. Initiates, plans, and implements projects as needs arise in collaboration with the IS Department. Develops project documentation including but not limited to project plans, project timelines, stakeholder analysis, status reports, meeting agendas/minutes, resource burn reports, etc.   Completes projects with minimal direction and within allotted time, budget, and scope.   Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: 3-5 Years demonstrated project management experience or equivelant Preferred: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, team leadership and health care information technology
License, Registry or Certification: Required: None Preferred: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required:  Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong computer skills, including Google Workspace 

Preferred: Desire to work with people; exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to collaborate, facilitate teams, and foster consensus on process issues. Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
