We are seeking students in Business Administration, Information Systems or related fields for our 2025 summer internship program. Interns will be competitively selected to join our Retirement Solutions' Implementations team.
We offer hands-on experience in a casual, yet professional work environment, making it an excellent place to learn and grow. Interns will be based at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, Illinois (temporary housing may be available). Applicants must be available for full-time work from mid-May to mid-August 2025.
Core Responsibilities:As a Project Manager Intern, you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
Day-to-day project task management. Scheduling meetings with project teams. Assisting in documentation. Participating in other project management activities. Work on small project teams to configure and customize PensionGold software for customers. Utilize various project management tools, including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Azure DevOps. Engage in multiple implementation projects to gain insights into different approaches. Participate in various workstreams across multiple implementation projects to gain knowledge of different approaches. Performance Factors:

Applicant Requirements:Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or have equivalent on-the-job experience.
Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework, including six courses related to Business Administration, or have at least one year of experience in a Project Management role. Must possess problem-solving skills, effective written and verbal communication skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of collaborating effectively as part of a team. Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills will enhance your candidacy. Permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer (no visa sponsorships available). The LRS Retirement Solutions group is one of several divisions within LRS. The division Vice President leads a group of managers overseeing Implementations, Product Development, Product Support, and Sales. As a member of the Implementations team, you will report to a manager and interact regularly with team members, other employees, and customers. A typical implementation project team comprises 5-6 key resources, supplemented by additional resources as needed to meet the specific requirements of each project.
This internship is a temporary, full-time internship for summer 2025 with a pay rate of $18/hour. Internships have the potential to lead to permanent positions based on the future needs of the organization.
