Project Manager Intern

The Leidos Digital Modernization (DigMod) Sector is seeking interns who are passionate about helping our customers solve vexing challenges involving the rapidly changing spectrum of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT).

A significant amount of work will be performed at our Leidos Offices in Reston, VA; and the position will have a hybrid work (headquarters work and remote work) schedule. This is not a fully remote position.

As a DigMod Practice Area (PA) Intern, each intern will be assigned a specific focus area and associated Sector Sponsor such as Partnerships management support, BD/Growth operations support, Marketing & Branding support, Technical support, or Practice support. The DigMod Practice Area (PA) includes six (6) interrelated Practices of Application Modernization (App Mod), Cloud & Data Center, Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), Digital Experience, Information Advantage, and Networking, and four (4) support functions of BD/Growth Operations, Marketing & Communications, Technical Development and Partnerships Management. 

Each intern will work in coordination with their respective Sector Sponsor to establish daily routine, Leidos meetings participation, training curriculum, and focus-area specific activities.

As example, a Partnerships Management focus area internship would be organized as follows:

Focus and a final report – The focus area will be supporting Partnerships team with preparation and coordination of partner-involved “pipeline” meetings, and a report topic identified as an assessment of Google Federal technology roadmap for 2025-2026 and the new Google Federal Leadership organization.Training – The training curriculum includes a combination of Leidos Ethics and Cyber training combined with Google sales and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) accreditations.Socialization and Leidos Leadership Discussions – The intern will participate in the Lunch-with-Leadership and will have time scheduled with three (3) of our leaders across Global Supply Chain (GSC), Corporate Development, and Office of Technology CHO IRAD teams.

We are looking for an inquisitive and curious mindset that understands the nature of business motions involving external partnerships and the technology offerings of select partnerships. Project management skills with an affinity for Information Technology (IT) is essential to a successful internship. This is the ideal role if you are looking for the opportunity to work on innovative projects with enterprise potential impact and an appreciation for the high speed of technology change.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support select partnership activities:

Support collaborative pipeline (co-pipeline) efforts and the administration and management of the DigMod co-pipeline tool including but not limited to lead generation tracking, opportunity updates and refinements, reporting and forecasting, and supporting PA and RO teams across DigMod Sector.Monitor evolving products for new or emerging technology, and/or partnering opportunities for named partner(s).

Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university in business administration or project management.Experience with project management, business plan development, and/or business start-up.Experience with hyperscaler or cloud service provider technologies and/or offerings.Experience with social media platforms.US citizenship required.Original Posting Date:2025-02-05

Pay Range:Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00
