The successful candidate will be working for one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. The Business Systems application team develops and supports many custom and commercial solutions for approximately 84,000 miles of natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, and carbon dioxide (CO2) pipelines and over 150 terminals for storing and handling various chemicals and other products. The successful candidate will act as a project manager and technical business analyst between the Business Systems team and various business functional groups for the development and / or implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems. The candidate will build relationships with key business users and develop functional and technical documentation utilizing standard industry analysis tools and techniques. The candidate will manage projects utilizing Kinder Morgan’s project management methodology. Position Description: + Manage the successful implementation of IT software development and 3rd party system implementation projects. + Work with key stakeholders to drive projects to completion on time and on budget. + Responsible for gathering business requirements and translating into formal functional documentation. + Develop and recommend operational process improvements as part of the requirements gathering process in collaboration with business users. + Facilitate functional and technical requirements gathering sessions and workshops with business and IT stakeholders. + Document as-is and to-be business processes and business requirements associated with those processes. + Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders on the business side, within IT, and with vendors. + Analyze and document technical capabilities and requirements for new and existing systems. + Create and / or publish project deliverables associated with the Kinder Morgan project management methodology. + Develop and maintain project plans in MS Project Online. Position Requirements Position Requirements: + 7+ years technical project management experience implementing custom development and commercial off-the-shelf software using standard tools and techniques. + Experience in Agile / Waterfall project management methodologies. + Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and facilitation skills. + Highly motivated team player with mature positive attitude and passion to meet multiple challenges and opportunities of the business. + Ability to create project artifacts such as current-state / future-state process diagrams, business requirements documents, project plans, etc. using Microsoft Office tools. + Proven ability to collaborate and facilitate with business stakeholders to identify and document complex business processes and requirements. + Demonstrated technical aptitude to learn new concepts and technologies quickly with minimal direction. Must be able to understand technical architecture of systems being implemented. + Proven ability to collaborate with IT stakeholders to document high-level technical design of systems and solutions. + Excellent knowledge of Microsoft software development languages and tools. + Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management. + Bachelor's degree required, in a technology or communications-related field desired. Preferred Education, Experience, Certifications, Competencies, Skills, and Abilities: + Certification in project management (e.g. PMI PMP, ScrumMaster, etc.).
