Description
Position SummaryThe person in this position serves as the overall manager for all WestCare Texas, Laredo operations and is the central coordinator for the interconnected projects connected to the DFCFACE- PJTT coalition which support the overall organization’s mission and vision. This leadership role involves stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, project oversight, strategy implementation, grant management, compliance monitoring, and evaluation of outcomes toensure the successful delivery of services aimed at impacting community public health and public safety concerns. Potential projects include community development and community organizing, substance abuse prevention, recovery support, mental health promotion, HIV/AIDS prevention, neighborhood safety, crime prevention/education, homeless outreach, and housing related projects. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the efforts of projectcoordinator, support staff including interns, People with Lived Experience (PLE) and/or AmeriCorps Members, necessary to deliver the services described. Job Functions include those listed below.
Essential Job Functions:Leading, organizing, directing, supervising office operations and staff. Monitor employee performance, issue corrective actions, review overall employeeperformance and coordinate with HR on any needed disciplinary actions. Organizing and conducting meetings with key community leaders and stakeholders.Conducting planning, defining goals and objectives, establishing timelines, anddeveloping plans to achieve the goals.Managing all aspects of grant programs and special projects as assigned, includingprogram implementation, data collection and entering data in required reporting systems,Managing costs and resources, and ensuring the project has the necessary resources.12/17/24 NLMonitoring and tracking progress, identifying risks, and taking steps to mitigate them.Developing strategic messages, conducting public information and awareness activitiesReporting critical issues and providing updates to the coalition and senior leadershipReporting on progress to funders, stakeholders, project managers, and communicatingwith customers and other stakeholders.Organizing and coordinating project team members, and providing support and advice tothem Negotiating with community partners and vendorsEnsuring compliance with all relevant rules and regulations and funding guidelinesMaking decisions and resolving issues when they ariseAttend regular professional education classes/workshops to continuously upgrade jobskills and knowledge.Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, and goals ofWestCare Foundation and the DFC-FACA-PJTT coalition.Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties andresponsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,skill, and/or ability required.Certifications/Licensures: A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insuranceis required.During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but notlimited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or funders thatWestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriatepersonnel will inform you.
Education:College degree or equivalent experienceExperience and Competencies: Basic computer skills. Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, Professional appearance and demeanor.
Working Conditions:Work is primarily performed in an office setting.Outdoor activities may be required occasionally.Local travel required to attend meetings and events.Occasional in-state and out of state travel required to attend required meetings or training.Essential Physical and Mental Demands of the JobThe employee must be able to perform the following essential duties and activities with orwithout accommodation:
