Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
The Project Manager Lean for Distribution Center helps implement the LEAN Management philosophy at our Distribution Center to support goals and objectives. Drive initiatives and support the DC leadership team in deploying LEAN concepts. Help to identify improvement opportunities and the resources requirements to accomplish planned improvements. Lead, coach, and mentor cross functions DC’s teams to ensure fast changes. With Labor Management the toolset of local DC management will be enhanced in labor planning and performance management to contribute to one adidas initiative.
This role is based at our Distribution Center in Lo Boza - Pudahuel.
The operational warehouse teams work on a 6x1 rotating shifts Mornings / Afternoons (7:00hrs – 15:30hrs / 15:00hrs - 23:30hrs).
Key Responsibilities
Leader of the Lean Team: Lean Specialist and Business Intelligence Specialist. Report to the Regional Lean Manager to align on standardized Lean implementation (dotted line). Leadership and Management of all Lean topics across the Distribution Center. Lead the implementation of Lean concepts and methodology to help the business achieve its goals and objectives. Improvement projects are likely to focus on cost competitiveness, product availability, lead-time reduction and supply chain network optimization. Act as a Change Agent, continuously challenging the way things are done and promoting creativity and out of the box thinking. Responsible for Distribution Center reports, creation, and continuous improvement. Regularly conduct internal Lean audits to monitor progress. Responsible for optimal use of Labor Management tool within the Distribution Center including labor planning & performance management. Deliver all Lean methodology tools like process analyses, time studies, process optimization, among others. Provide training, coaching, and mentoring in Lean concepts and techniques. Bring support to IT teams to ensure that labor management solution provides the optimal outputs and that new business requirements are captured. Employ leadership and project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time and meet the objectives in the charter. Support of the project team during the implementation of Labor Management. Develop and manage external as well as internal benchmarking partnerships to ensure a regular exchange of best practices to get additional ideas for improvements. Single point of contact (SPOC) for all LEAN related topics in responsibility. Partner with Industrial Engineers on site. Share and standardize best practices and processes by driving standard work.
