**Project** **Manager** **- New York DOH Support**
**Responsibilities:**
The Project Manager will manage operations for the State of New York Local Health Department Support Project. You are responsible for working with the designated New York State Department of Health, Local Health Departments and other host organizations to provide specialized professional services related to public health priorities which the county has identified
+ Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and independent work ethic.
+ Expected to plan, organize and prioritize departmental goals and workload as assigned.
+ Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
+ Supervise personnel, and provide oversight on team operations, schedules and deliverable production.
+ Expected to establish and maintain superior relationships with staff at Host organizations.
+ Expected to model positive behaviors, mentor staff and ensure consistent adherence to quality assurance measures.
+ Expected to have excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills
+ Responsible for learning Program Rules of assigned projects to ensure ability to respond to Customer Service inquiries.
+ Collaborate with, establish, and maintainappropriate partnerships and resources, including community organizations and schools, based on local health department needs.
+ Facilitate Local Public Health Partnership opportunities to enhance Fellows’ experiences by collaborating with mentors and helping facilitate professional growth opportunities, including technical information about public health priorities.
+ Communicate regularly with the NYSDOH Fellowship Placement Coordinator on matters that arise from the implementation or necessary revision of placement agreements. Ability to show empathy to distressed individuals and assist with identifying solutions to problems identified.
+ Analyze, interpret and report program performance, as well as develop & execute action plans, when necessary.
+ Coach and motivate staff to meet growth and leadership opportunities.
+ Monitor quality and productivity of teams and provides feedback in a positive and proactive manner.
+ Work with all other operational areas to ensure timely resolutions to internal and external customer inquiries.
+ Appropriately delegates work to departmental staff.
+ Additional responsibilities as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Proficient at managing time and resources
+ Detail-oriented
+ Ability to draw up detailed project plans and schedules
+ Proven leadership skills
+ Critical thinking, problem-solving skills and sound judgment required.
+ Capable of managing crises as and when they arise
+ Adept at negotiating internally as well as externally
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills.
+ Proficiency with computers including data entry into electronic tracking systems and running summary reports.
+ A bachelor’s degree is required. Master preferred
+ Three years of experience within a health, public health, education, human services, community-based organization, or institutional setting strongly preferred.
+ Three years of experience in administrative, personnel, fiscal, or other related operational activity
+ At least one year of experience with the supervising staff; experience leading remote staff and/or in a complex environment would be a plus
+ Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly and concisely. Fluency in a second or multiple languages would be a plus.
+ Employment is contingent on completion of a background check.
+ Technology Equipment (computer) will be provided upon employment.
+ A headset is preferred.
**Location** :
The work will be performed remotely during EST hours. Some travel and on-site work required
Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
