Project Manager Operations Development

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work with sites throughout ASSA ABLOY Americas, Commercial Segment by leading diverse operations projects.  With a focus on our business locations, you will participate in projects alongside business leaders to optimize our operations, footprint and develop solutions. 

We are seeking an energetic leader capable of driving project results and implementing solutions aligned with our business partners’ requirements. The successful candidate is a passionate thought leader with project management experience within a manufacturing environment.
 

 What you will be doing

To be successful in the role, you should be prepared to apply project management principles to strategic challenges within manufacturing operations.  You should be intellectually curious and enjoy solving unique business challenges.  You should be prepared to perform the following: 

Collaborate with senior business leaders and stakeholders to execute operations development projects, with a focus on optimizing manufacturing footprint and sustainability Coordinate with internal teams and manage contractors to ensure adherence to schedules and project objectives. Consolidate, quantify, and compare site data that informs the business strategy. Manage day-to-day project-specific developments. Manage the integration of cross-functional requirements. Anticipate potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.  Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to address issues and ensure successful outcomes.  Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and external partners. Provide regular updates on project status, challenges and achievements. Present at leadership meetings and other forums. Lead Kaizens and deploy continuous improvement problem solving tools like LEAN and Six Sigma to solve a variety of operational challenges as required.

Education and/or Experience          

A minimum Bachelor’s Degree.  STEM/Finance preferred. 2-5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment preferred. Project management experience within a manufacturing environment. Corporate Real Estate and/or project management advanced training and certification a plus. Experience working in cross-functional, manufacturing/technology teams. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to create documents and presentations. Proficiency in MS Project and other project management software and tools. Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills.
