Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Project Manager to expand our Ports and Industrial Development practice in Savannah, GA!

Responsibilities The qualified individual will help grow our Ports and Industrial Development team while building and managing relationships with key clientsLeadership responsibilities include:Operating with integrity and sound business principalsProviding vision, business planning and strategyEstablishing goalsBuilding and maintaining positive client relationshipsHaving open communication with your partners and teamGrowing and leading a Ports and Industrial Development practiceOur Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentorThe successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their businessWith success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional licensure as a P.E. in Georgia or ability to obtain in 6 months10+ years of diversified civil engineering experience The successful candidate will support complex projects such as port/cargo terminal upland site work and/or industrial development from concept development to preparation of construction documents, permitting and construction administration. Experience with large projects, project phasing plans and industrial sites will be an asset to your success for this position! Prepare design documents and reports for civil site development (site layout, grading, storm water, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems) Ability to plan, schedule work, and complete work assignments within established budget and timelinesPerform calculations, cost estimates, prepare drawings, technical specifications, and write reports Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plansCoordinate civil design staff along with other disciplines to meet project schedules and budgets Perform limited field observations in support of construction and data collectionAttend client meetings as necessaryBusiness development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scope of work, fees and budgets, and schedulesStrong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problemsAbility to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organizationAbility to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive mannerDemonstrated ability to manage projects profitablyAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple simultaneous deadlinesStrong technical writing and communication skillsPossession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)Microsoft Word and Excel proficiencyStrong communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills are a mustAutoCAD, and Civil3D experience Why Kimley-Horn?
