Our Rail Consultancy Programme and Project Management team is growing, and you’ll be working on some of the biggest, most iconic rail projects imaginable. It’s challenging, rewarding and will take your career to the next level.
We are looking for a Project Manager with a Civil Engineering background, you'll be a self-starter and someone with excellent communication skills to be able to engage with clients on project delivery and adding value.

Role accountabilities:
You'll work within established financial systems and clear project objectives to produce plans, schedules and track budgets, highlighting variances in order to manage and control project delivery targets. You'll deliver/assist to manage small to medium scale projects or programmes of work, ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the required scope of work within set deadlines with the ability to present any project risks or issues to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted, and ensure the delivery of projects to compliant standards.
Data is key here at Arcadis, we analyse and review a range of data to identify key themes and trends and use the outputs to produce recommendations that support project decision-making along with our use knowledge and experience to review project processes and policies, providing advice to support management in developing and improving processes and systems.
We look for people who interact effectively across the organisation, completing complex professional level tasks for others in order to ensure projects/programmes can be delivered to meet customer expectations, advising colleagues on issues relating to own projects, providing subject matter advice in order to support delivery and ensure there is alignment between policy and operational practice, collaborating with stakeholders and third party contractors, in order to ensure all parties are informed and aware of project progress and expectations
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Civil or Structural engineering Previous experience in Rail sector environment Previous experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager on rail sector projects Experience of managing the scoping and design process. Stakeholder Management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Focus on client experience and adding Value to the client. Focus on delivery of benefits and outcomes to the Client. Exposure to Programme Management would be an advantage. Working within and influencing a wider project team/organisation towards a common goal. Membership and/or working towards Chartership of the Association for Project Management (APM) or other similar professionally recognised status.
