Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit CYFCP builds the capacity of families, service providers, researchers, teachers, and communities to promote the well-being of children and youth. The center carries out basic, applied, and action research and translates research into effective programs and practice and policies. Position Summary The project manager for Recipe for Success (PMRFS) shall have overall responsibility for the duties of the PI if he/she is not available to carry them out. In coordination with the Co-PI and Co-Project director they shall lead and coordinate all day-to-day activities related to the completion of Recipe for Success (RFS) direct education, social marketing, and PSE efforts, including nutrition education/training sessions for SNAP. They shall coordinate collaboration with RFS’ partners to deliver direct education, social marketing, and Policy, System and Environment (PSE) interventions. In addition, they shall guide the RFS team to acknowledge, adapt and accommodate cultural and ethnic differences among targeted populations through direct education, social marketing, and PSE efforts. Minimum Qualifications PhD or equivalent degree in Anthropology, Nutrition, Public Education or similar area of concentration. Grant writing and management experience.


Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Spanish. Experience with SNAP-Ed programs. Experience working with SNAP eligible populations.

Percentage Of Time 40% Key Responsibility Grant management Essential Tasks Provide management and implementation of the Recipe for Success (RFS) project.  The position shall be a resource for the RFS team and share in the management of all aspects of the project’s operation, including strategic planning, budget management, grant writing, reporting and evaluation.  The RFS Project Manager shall oversee the RFS team to provide lesson development and application with RFS’ direct education, social marketing, and policy, system and environment (PSE) requirements.  They will guide the RFS team to ensure acknowledgement, adaptation and accommodation of cultural and ethnic differences among targeted populations through direct education, social marketing and PSE efforts.


Percentage Of Time 15% Key Responsibility Service Delivery and oversight Essential Tasks Oversee the delivery of SNAP-Ed services as required by the contract.  This involves overseeing delivery of services to ensure they meet USDA requirements.  Evaluating educator performance, and evaluation of curriculum. Percentage Of Time 25% Key Responsibility Grant writing and collaborations Essential Tasks Research and write grants. Preparation and oversight of grant reports with the ability to serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) role within UNCG.  Find and apply for grants to support the continuation. Percentage Of Time 10% Key Responsibility Center-Wide Development and Leadership Essential Tasks Participate in CYFCP Management Team Leadership meetings.  Actively participate in activities related to the CYFCP Strategic Plan.  Provide input to the CYFCP Director in Center-wide decision-making and strengthen the CYFCP’s other programmatic and revenue -generating activities, including fundraising and development activities and professional training programs.
