Project Manager - Retail Stores Construction & Development :
- Coordinate with all internal stakeholders, external vendors, contractors, landlords, building departments, and utility companies to complete retail store construction, remodeling, and relocation projects
- Solicit bids, qualify vendors, negotiate terms, and award construction contracts
- Perform material quantity take-offs, order materials, schedule deliveries, and monitor construction materials inventory
- Secure building permits
- Communicate and negotiate with landlords and building departments regarding lease stipulations and building code requirements to protect corporate interests
- Manage overall store construction process, including work progress monitoring, quality control, and contract compliance
- Negotiate and coordinate changes, additions, and deletions with contractors and vendors
Required Qualifications (Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications) :
- Experience in project management of commercial construction for a national retail, hotel, or restaurant chain
- Travel is required, (up to 60% travel or 2-3 days per week approx. 30 weeks per year)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints
- Advanced knowledge of construction terminology and building codes
- Experience with material quantity take-offs and construction cost estimation
