Gannett Fleming is searching for a highly motivated Project Manager to join our Roadway Engineering team. In this role, you will take on a leadership position in delivering critical infrastructure projects that improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of roadways, positively impacting both local communities and the broader transportation network.

Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and drainage projects in accordance with TxDOT and/or AASHTO standardsOversee the work of technicians in preparing design plansDevelop design elements, including:Horizontal and vertical geometryRoadway sections and intersection layoutsSight distance determination and interchange layoutsSigning and pavement marking plansTraffic control plansRoadway drainage and temporary erosion controlRight of way plansPrepare and oversee the preparation of Plans, Specifications, and EstimatesAssist in managing larger projects or lead smaller projects, including:Preparing scopes, schedules, and budgetsDay-to-day communication with clientsSupporting and advising EITs and technical staffActing as an advisor to senior management on engineering-related mattersWriting reports, technical memos, and meeting minutesCoordinating with sub-consultantsProvide seal and signature as a licensed professional engineer, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and ordinancesPreference for candidates with experience working on TxDOT Design ProjectsRequirements:
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering Texas P.E.10+ years’ experience having performed geometric design of roadways, preparing plans and specifications, and computing quantities and design construction estimates. Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads.Extensive knowledge of and experience with AASHTO Green Book, TxDOT Roadway Design Manual, TxDOT Roadside Design Guide, TxDOT Hydraulic Manual, and Texas MUTCDSuccessful candidate must be capable of acting as a supervisory engineer or deputy to Project Manager and work independently with minimal guidance.Life at Gannett Fleming
